You and your guests are our number one priority and we want your special event to be perfect. With the state mandate from Governor Reynolds and CDC recommendations, we want to make you aware of the current environment and equip you with things to consider for your event. As the situation continues to change, please know we are going to do our absolute best to accommodate all parties and events.
As of March 16th, the CDC recommended organizers cancel or postpone events with 50 people or more for 8 weeks. This would affect events scheduled through May 16, 2020.
As of March 17th, Governor Kim Reynolds announced all gatherings of 10 or more prohibited until March 31st. LEARN MORE.
For those of you who had an event scheduled between now and March 31st: With the unfortunate turn of events causing the postponement of your event, we recommend picking a new event date as soon as possible so that we can secure your event in our future calendar.
For those who have an event scheduled between March 31st to May 16th: We strongly recommend for you to consider postponing your event for later date. As of now, we are allowing our clients to make the decision about postponement, as there are not any mandates in place that require The Tea Room to be closed. However, the situation is changing rapidly, and we could be forced to postpone/cancel all events on our calendar within a certain window. We will be following the progress of this virus daily and will make a decision with the health and safety of you, your guests, and our staff accordingly.
For those who have an event booked May 17th to August 31st: While so much is still unknown for the impact of the coronavirus, we also encourage you to consider a postponement plan. Unfortunately, only time will tell how if recommendations are extended or explicit mandates take effect.
All clients who have secured a date with a paid deposit are able to postpone their event up to 12 months past the original date without any additional fee. We are delaying the guarantee of any new bookings until we have given our scheduled hosts the chance to select a new date.
Once a client has selected a new date, we will ask for 50% of the remaining room rental (25% of overall room rental) to be paid for a guarantee on the new date. This is not an additional fee, but simply a payment/installment towards the outstanding balance of your room rental. This installment will provide assurance of your secured postponed date since we are experiencing high volumes of date inquiries. Depending on the pricing parameters of your new date, additional rental costs may apply or be deducted (Saturday vs. Friday, Peak season vs. off-season, etc.).
